Silane S171 can be used as a monomeric silane which can incorporate pendant silane functionality into polymers as an alternative crosslinking mechanism. Silane S171 can also be by radically initiated copolymerisation or polymer-analogous grafting. Silane S171 also can be used as water scavenger and crosslinking additive in moisture cure systems,for example MS polymer,RTV silicone and SPURsm-based sealants. Silane S171 can be a bifunctional organosilane possess,reactive vinyl group and hydrolyzable inorganic trimethoxysilyl group. Then it can be used as crosslinking agent,adhesion promoter and surface modifier.
About applications,it shows as below:
1. Silane S171 can apply to polyethylene and copolymers with all various complex-shape and all densities or those composites that require the large machining tolerance and are filled in,increase their applicable temperature,high anti-pressure pyrolysis,compressive resistance,memory,abrasive,wear resistance and impact resistance.
2. With the functional of both coupling agent and cross-linking agent,silane S171 suitable polymers such as polyethylene,polypropylene,unsaturated polyester,etc. Silane S171 can be used to improve affinity of glass fiber,inorganic fillers and resin to react with vinyl,usually used in polyethylene cables and pipes of silane crosslinked polyethylene.
3.Silane S171 can be used as monomers when emulsion polymerization to form silane modified latexes.Silane S171 can be monomeric vinyl functional silane in vinyl,vinyl acrylic and acrylic resin.Silane S171 in latexes functions as crosslinkers can form stable Si-O-Si chain.
4.Silane S171 can be grafted to select unsaturated polymers,for example PET,PE and styrene-butadiene co-polymer,via moisture cure mechanism.Silane S171 crosslined polymers represent good resistant to high temperature and good mechanic strength.
5.Silane S171 can be used as good adhesion to a wide range of inorganic substrates,for example metal,glass and concrete.
