Xylooligosaccharide, also known as xylooligosaccharide, is a functional polysaccharide composed of two to seven xylose molecules with β - 1,4 glycosidic bond.
After years of research and experiments by many domestic and foreign experts,
it has been proved that Xylooligosaccharides have unique properties compared with oligosaccharides commonly used by people, such as lactulose, maltooligosaccharide, fructooligosaccharide, Isomaltooligosaccharide, and so on.
Therefore, Xylooligosaccharides are favored by the majority of food, feed, medicine, health care products and other industries.
The characteristics of Xylooligosaccharides are as follows
The sweetness of xylooligosaccharide is lower than that of sucrose and glucose, about 40% of that of maltose.
Xylooligosaccharides have good stability to pH value and heat, and hardly decompose even in acidic condition (pH = 2.5).
Xylooligosaccharides are difficult to be digested and absorbed by animals, and have high intestinal residual rate. They have excellent Bifidobacterium proliferation, and their selective utilization is higher than other functional oligosaccharides, so they are non digestible functional oligosaccharides.
Xylooligosaccharide is one of the functional oligosaccharides that can promote the growth of beneficial bacteria in vivo.
Sources of Xylooligosaccharides:
It is directly extracted from plants. Xylooligosaccharides were prepared from xylan rich plants by biotechnology.
It is prepared by chemical synthesis or biological enzyme synthesis.
The physiological effects of Xylooligosaccharides are as follows
The application of Xylooligosaccharides in pig and chicken production has the following six functions (summarized by experiments as follows)
1. It can promote the reproduction of beneficial bacteria in animal digestive tract, inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria, and improve the balance of microbial flora.
2. Blocking the binding of pathogen to host cell receptor.
3. Stimulate the immune system of animals and improve immunity.
4, enhance animal resistance to disease, reduce incidence rate, improve animal disease prevention and control effect.
5. Improve feed utilization rate, improve animal production performance.
6. Reduce the pollution to the environment and improve the sanitation of animal production environment.
